The WebsiteTips.com website is a informative website that provides users with articles, tutorials, tips, tools, and other resources related to web design and development. The content, design, language, and the tone of the language used is targeted towards viewers who are interested in basic topics and aspects of web design.
Content, Organization, and Navigation Summary
WebsiteTips.com is a site composed of tons and tons of articles which are complimented with cool and useful tools and gadgets.
The general or broad navigational structure is as follows (as displayed on main nav bar).

They use the left side bar as a nav menu that helps narrow the topics and sub topics. They also have a search function here.
Because the site is so content rich and has so many pages it relies heavily on related and popular link suggestions as a method of navigation which is used to compliment the general navigation structure displayed via the horizontal navigation bar, as well as the vertical left side bar navigation menu. The suggested links appear in the text of the main content as well as the right side bar column that appears to be part of the "article" or "post" page content.
Website Critique
This site is very useful on all fronts and is appealing to the eye. The information reads easily and consistently. I will use this site in the future and would consider the designers and developers of this site of having an above average skill and knowledge base.
Area(s) and or aspects of this site that could be improved are listed below.
- The footer area could be organized and designed in a more efficient and perhaps less cluttered manor
- There could be more pics and visual appealing content to compliment the text and tools but I suspect that the seo efforts and reliance on organic traffic from search engines creates a biased against these forms of media.
